A free 30-minute call. We figure out if we're a fit, what good looks like, and whether the project is even worth doing.

We scope it small.

A short written plan: what we'll build, what it'll cost, what it won't include. Fixed fee or weekly — whatever makes the work clean.

We ship in weeks.

You get working software, with code you actually own. Async updates, no status meetings, no sprint theatre.

We hand it off — or stick around.

Some clients want a one-shot build. Others keep us on for ongoing work. Either's fine.

Why "Top Bunk"?

Because every kid wants the top bunk.

The name comes from my daughter, who used to lie on me when she was little and call it "the top bunk." It stuck — partly because it's hers, partly because it captures the thing I want this work to feel like.

The top bunk is the spot with the better view. It's a little harder to get to. There's a small ladder involved. And once you're up there, everything feels like an adventure.

That's the energy I bring to client work: real engineering, with a sense of play. Take the climb seriously. Don't take yourself too seriously.
